Preparing future leaders
Ever been frustrated at how hard it is to get a grown-up to recycle or compost? We agree, too; old habits can be quite hard to change. That's why, although we are working on environmental issues on campus, we also work with young children in local elementary schools to make life easier for the next generation of CERES members.
We've been involved in local schools on subjects from agriculture to recycling and composting to (new this year, thanks to support from the city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue!) endangered species and monarch butterfly releases. CERES is working to increase milkweed populations in order to promote and support the migration of Monarchs within the Montreal region. |
